
Ussher and Jones back for more
Winners from last year’s Motu Challenge Elina Ussher and Daniel Jones are back to defend their titles at the Opotiki multisport event on Saturday 14 October. Whilst Ussher will be back to race for an eleventh title Jones will be back to see if he can claim his second title. Ussher who lives in Nelson is hot favourite despite her veteran status. Last year Ussher beat Hannah Wells and Corrine Smit by over half an hour, having the fastest split times in all stages of the race. U

Coast to Coast promo delivers free entry to two person team
The Motu Challenge recently asked the Coast to Coast to promote the North Island's toughest Multisport event on 14 November in Opotiki. The promotion included a discounted entry and a chance to win the entry fee back. The lucky team was the 'Short and the Tall of it'. Maree Maclachan and her team mate Michael Kohnson ( we suspect that his name is Johnson - must be a typo on his entry form) will get their entry fee back.
