Booking is essential

This is a great opportunity to scope out the course with locals on hand to advise and assist.

Kayakers

Meet at the kayak get-out point at 10am. If you not familiar with this location, it’s relatively easy to find. Drive towards Gisborne from Ōpōtiki for about 8km, on your right you will see a pull over area with a gate. Fred Wingate, the kayak coordinator, will be waiting there with a few helpers.

Fred will help organise transport and split the group as required into beginner and intermediate.

Where: Kayak to cycle transition, Waioeka Road, Ōpōtiki

When: 10am Saturday 16 September

Estimated return to Ōpōtiki: 2pm.
